An Album freezes a period of my life, usually this happens every 3 years. In this new … sparkling … “Sparkling Jass” project I had the privilege of playing with great musicians, pure talents, friends I met on my path.
However, there is a special person, without whom this project could never have taken off: Antonello Cioffi, owner of the Piedigrotta Restaurant Pizzeria in Varese. Creative, Artist, tireless worker, Vesuvius of energy and ideas … in this specific case even “Mecenate”!
Edgar Tolson wrote: “You don’t make it with your hands. You form it with your hands. You make it with your mind. ”
This makes me reflect on our art form: Antonello and I think of a result, a goal to reach and magically our hands realize: improvisation, tastes, sounds, interplay, melody, flavor, fire!
I like to call it “the energy circle”: amazing ideas flow from his mind, his hands realize the unexpected, the unpredictable, the oven seals the creation. I am already conquered by the scent, the taste gives life to a sparkle of sensations that give inspiration for my music, which, once composed and made, returns to his ears and helps to give life to another “energy circle”
